Teacher of Alexander Technique (Adjunct)
Amira Glaser is an AmSAT certified Alexander Technique teacher who trained at the American Center of the Alexander Technique in New York City. She is also a graduate of Jessica Wolf’s Art of Breathing training for Alexander teachers, and has been mentored extensively by Jessica in her work with performers. Amira served on the faculty of Pace University’s BFA in Acting for Film, Television, Voice Over and Commercials where she designed and implemented their original Alexander Technique curriculum. After a decade of teaching in NYC, Amira relocated to Chapel Hill in 2015 and continues her work with actors, performers, and people from all walks of life in private practice as well as at various institutions. Amira is also a Licensed Acupuncturist, having received her MSTOM from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, and is a Diplomat of the NCCAOM.
