The Department of Dramatic Art Mainstage is an advanced extra-curricular production venue founded and supported by the Department of Dramatic Art. This venue provides undergraduate students with a rare opportunity to work with faculty and guest artists and receive mentorship from professional artists, administrators, and graduate students.
Undergraduates working with Mainstage are afforded mentorship in the areas of technical production, costuming, properties, dramaturgy, marketing, producing and acting. Additionally, DDA Mainstage regularly sponsors interdisciplinary activities, including symposia, lectures, and discussions that make the most of the exceptional and artistic scholarship that Carolina has to offer.
