ADVANCED SHOWCASE PROPOSAL GUIDELINES
(updated and effective Spring 2008)

DDA Advanced Showcase will fund a limited number of select projects produced and directed by undergraduate majors in Dramatic Art.

A DDA faculty committee appointed by the Chair will review proposals and, if approved, award substantial funding to promote excellence in production.  Please review the following criteria for application.

1) Student must be an enrolled undergraduate DDA major.

2) A previous successful directing experience with DDA Playwriting Studio or the Lab Theatre.

ALL PROPOSALS MUST PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING:

1) A written proposal stating the title of play with justification for the choice of material.

2) An anticipated budget including itemized expenditures of production (set and props, costumes, lights, sound, publicity).

3) Confirmed production team including Set Designer, Costume Designer/Liaison, Technical Director, and a plausible production scenario outlining how technical demands of production will be met.

4) Confirmation of rehearsal and performance spaces.

5) Dates of production.

6) Resume.

7) One letter of recommendation from a member of the DDA faculty.
