Connan Morrissey appeared as Hermione in The Winters Tale at the Folger Theatre in Washington, D.C. Previously she was seen in the world-premiere of Karen Zacarias’ The Book Club Play at Roundhouse Theatre in Bethesda, MD. She played Freedom in Arena Stage’s Washington DC-based version of Christmas Carol called, appropriately, Christmas Carol, 1941. She regularly appears in many staged readings at the Kennedy Center. Connan appeared summer 2006 in An Experiment with an Air Pump with the Potomac Theatre Project in Olney, MD, and in Orson’s Shadow at the Round House Theatre. Connan’s many other credits include the title role in Anna Karenina at the Clarence Brown Theatre, Lady Macbeth at the Avignon-Off Festival, Laura in The Glass Menagerie at the A solo (Handy Award, Best Supporting Actress). Connan returned to PlayMakers to play Claire in Proofin 2002.
