Rooms: A Dance-Drama

Heather Tatreau spent her undergraduate years at UNC-Chapel Hill. She has a Master’s Degree in Dance Education from New York University. While living in New York City, she had the opportunity to train in classic modern dance techniques as well as avant-garde performance styles and somatic principles. She has performed and presented her choreography in New York City, Italy, and locally. She has been teaching in universities across North Carolina since 2003.
Heather currently teaches the modern dance technique and theory courses at Carolina. In addition, she works closely with Carolina Performing Arts to promote student and faculty engagement with visiting dance artists. Heather also is a choreographer and movement consultant for productions across campus – most recently working on Johnny Johnson for the Kenan Theater Company.
