Amanda Phillips Balingit

Amanda Phillips Balingit is a draper and costume professor at Montclair State University. Prior to this, she has served as costume shop supervisor for Mill Mountain Theatre and adjunct professor at Hollins University. She worked in NYC for seven years in a variety of capacities including freelance patternmaker for the Brooklyn based clothing company, Viva Aviva; assistant head of wardrobe with Cirque Du Soleil’s “Zarkana”; draper/first hand at Tricorne, John Kristiansen’s NYC, and Parsons-Meares; dresser for Madonna’s MDNA tour; and beader for Broadway’s “Lion King.”
