Beth Hylton

Beth Hylton was part of Everyman Theatre’s Great American Rep, playing Blanche in A Streetcar Named Desire, and also appeared in Death of a Salesman. Beth completed the 14-15 season with an acclaimed production as Elvira in Blithe Spirit at Everyman, where Beth is a member of the resident company. Other performances in the Washington/Baltimore area include Rapture Blister Burn (Gwen) at Round House Theatre, Circle Mirror Transformation (Theresa) at Rep Stage, The Cocktail Hour (Nina) at The Public Theatre of Maine, and The Understudy (Roxanne) and Deathtrap (Myra) at Everyman. Favorite recent regional credits include: Appropriate (Rachael) at Woolly Mammoth (Liesl Tommy, dir.), Time Stands Still (Sarah) and August: Osage County (Ivy) at Everyman, Bev in Clybourne Park at CenterStage, The 39 Steps (Woman) at The Maltz Jupiter, Private Lives (Amanda) at Pittsburgh Irish and Classical Theatre, A Dolls House (Nora) at Gulfshore Playhouse and Death of a Salesman (Miss Forsythe) at Weston Playhouse starring Christopher Lloyd. Other: Florida’s Hippodrome, Olney Theatre Center, Folger and Ford’s Theatres. Next season will begin with Myra in Hay Fever at Olney Theatre Center (in which Beth will seek to channel the brilliant Julie Fishell who played the role when Beth played Sorel in a production at PRC!) and will include Rosemary in Outside Mullingar and BLANCHE in A Streetcar Named Desire at Everyman. Come see me in DC/Baltimore alums or future grads! Thanks and love to all my PlayMakers family.
