Jeffrey Blair Cornell

Jeffrey Blair Cornell has been an acting company member with PlayMakers Repertory Company for 20 years appearing in more than 65 productions, including Peter and the Starcatcher, Sweeney Todd, An Enemy of the People, Trouble in Mind, Into the Woods, and Vanya, Sonia, Masha and Spike. Other recent seasons include: The Tempest, Metamorphoses, Private Lives, Noises Off, The Making of a King: Henry IV/Henry V, Angels in America – Parts I&II (Roy Cohn), the “King” in Big Riverand both Dukes inAs You Like It. Other favorite roles include Crummles and Ned Cheeryble in The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby, Alan in Opus, Matamore in The Illusion, Father Flynn in Doubt; Jason in Wit, and Willie Mossop in Hobson’s Choice. Regional: Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Pittsburgh Public Theatre, Paper Mill Playhouse, Victory Gardens Theatre, The Birmingham Theatre (Girl Crazy– opposite Lorna Luft), and the Caldwell Theatre (2 Best Actor Nominations – Carbonell Awards for Falsettoland and Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me). New York: Down to Earth, Serious Money, and Two By Two. Jeffrey is a Teaching Professor and serves as Associate Chair of the Department of Dramatic Art at UNC-CH.
