Matthew Ellis Murphy is a proud founding member (along with alumna Marianne Miller) of The Group Lab, through which he is producingRAFT, the company’s first ever full-length production. RAFT will receive its world premiere as part of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August 2015 following two July preview performances at 59E59 Theaters in New York. As an actor, his most recent credits include work with Hunger and Thirst Theatre Collective, Amios, the Musical Theatre Factory and the International Emmy Awards, among others. His work as a composer and music director has been heard at the New York International and Capital Fringe Festivals, PlayMakers Rep, Examined Man Theatre and One Shot Productions, among others. He also coaches voice and dialects, including work with T. Schreiber Studios in New York. In his “other life,” he works as a paralegal and word processing specialist in the world of Big Law.
