In addition to working at various theatres throughout the South Eastern United States, particularly outdoor theatre, Laura Pates has also enjoyed working for several companies in England and Scotland with youth and outreach programs. In 2015, Laura was one of 3 winners in the USITT Tech Expo with the “No Rain Delay” exhibit. Laura received her BA in Theatrical Design and Production from Guilford College and her MFA in Technical Production from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She specializes in various types of welding and digital imaging programs.
