Janie Brookshire played Off-Broadway in The Mound Builders at Signature Theatre Company, in Man & Superman at the Irish Repertory Theatre, opposite Brian Murray, and at the Mint Theatre Company as the titular character in the Allan Monkhouse comedy Mary Broome and in Wife to James Whelan. At the Pearl Theatre she was Celimene in The Misanthrope (nominated for a Lucille Lortel award). She made her Broadway debut in the Roundabout Theatre’s production of The Philanthropist, starring Matthew Broderick. Recent TV/Film credits include”Forever”,”I Love You…But I Lied”, “The Good Wife”, the indie feature He’s Way More Famous than You, opposite Mamie Gummer and directed by her PlayMakers (Amadeus, with the North Carolina Symphony) co-star Michael Urie.
